Mosquito sprays offer good protection when travelling. They act like an invisible protective layer on the skin. Depending on the active ingredient used, the spray irritates the mosquitoes as they can no longer perceive the body odour. At best, it even drives them away. A common active ingredient used here is diethyltoluamide (DEET), a chemical insect repellent. They are therefore a reliable companion in warm countries to be relatively well protected outdoors.

Mosquito spray is particularly important when travelling in tropical countries where there is a risk of mosquitoes spreading infectious diseases. Please note that DEET should not be used by pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding or children under the age of two, as it can also enter the bloodstream.
