How to attach a mosquito net to a slanted ceiling

Slanted ceilings in bedrooms always pose a challenge when it comes to attaching mosquito nets. These rooms often have no windows on the sides, but have windows in the roof itself. Although these windows are easy to tilt, it is unfortunately almost not possible to attach insect screens here. So in this case you have to resort to the usual method with mosquito nets.

As the pyramid-shaped mosquito net only has a single suspension, it is relatively easy to attach to a slanted ceiling. The angle of the roof is also irrelevant in this case. If this is the case in your private bedroom, we recommend simply drilling a screw hook into the centre of the sloping roof above the bed and hanging the net from it. If you only live in a room with a sloping roof for a short time, or if you don’t want to drill, we recommend self-adhesive ceiling hooks. You can easily order these from Amazon Tesa adhesive hooks

The sloping roof poses a certain challenge when attaching box-shaped mosquito nets. Nevertheless, it is no problem to install a box-shaped net here. Here too, you can choose the permanent solution with screw hooks or the temporary version with adhesive hooks.

The hooks are attached to the sloping roof above the four corners of the bed. Basically like a normal ceiling. The only difference here is the length of the cords on which the net is hung. Depending on the distance to the pitched roof, short or long cords are used between the hooks and the loops on the mosquito net. The aim is for the top of the net to be hung horizontally at the end so that it falls well.
